My people, e no easy o! We just receive the sad news say Apostle Jeffrey R. Holland don waka go meet him maker this early morning for Salt Lake City. Na kidney wahala kill am, and he be 85 years old. Na him dey lead the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and e really leave big shoes for ground.
Abig, this man no be ordinary, o! He don dey teach gospel since 1994, and anytime wey you hear him talk, you go feel say God dey even speak through am. Elder Quentin L. Cook, wey be him colleague, talk say nobody sabi teach like Holland. Na true talk be this, my people, because e don touch plenty lives with him words.
No be only teaching, e don chop plenty positions for Church too. From being president of Brigham Young University to Commissioner of Church Educational System, the man no dey play when e come to church matter. E even later become apostle for 1999. Omoh, this man fit run Library of Church Educational System for naija after all this wahala.
For those wey sabi am well, dem go talk say him life na sweet story of loving and caring. E grow for small community wey everybody dey know everybody, and him mama dey always dey check am if him dey misbehave. Dem say na him kindness and love for people make am fit connect with many pipo around the world.
And make I no forget him family matter! E don lose him wife Patricia wey die for July 2023. Dey get three children, 13 grandchildren and even great-grandchildren wey fit carry on him legacy. Fear not o! God no go leave dem lonely.
When e dey talk, you no go fit help but listen. E go motivate you, e go inspire you. Him last statement wey dey emphasize hope in Christ no be small matter. Holland dey always talk say wey we follow Christ, God go always dey with us, even for the darkest times.
