As of 3:07 PM for December 29, 2025, statistics show say nine Electricity Distribution Companies (DisCos) dem dey receive zero on top power allocation. Places like Benin, Eko, Enugu, Ikeja, and Jos dey shine their eyes as dem dey see 0.00 Megawatts. Only Abuja and Ibadan get small light of 20MW and 30MW respectively! Na wetin be that?
Now, the whole nation dey share only 50MW of power nationwide—the.drop dey below normal, and everybody dey feel am. Households, businesses, and even hospitals wey dey rely on light don find am hard! Imagine politicians wey dey talk about power improvement, but na only darkness dem dey deliver. E no waka!
The Nigerian Independent System Operator (NISO) don talk say dem dey work on restoring the power, but the question be: wetin cause this total blackout again? No official talk from Transmission Company of Nigeria or the Ministry of Power, talk less of any clear plan on how to fix am. Dis one na serious matter o!
Experts don talk say all these power failures dey happen because our infrastructure dey old, and we no get enough power generation. Na true talk. As the grid collapse, we dey see how our power sector dey fragile, wey dey affect how our economy dey run.
