Myanmar Junta Election: Military Party Don Show Strength!

Na wah o! Myanmar wey dey face wahala since dem carry military people come power for 2021, don start election wey dem say go change the game. But no be small thing, sha!

Dem don jampass on top the first phase of elections, and according to the pro-military party, wey dem dey call Union Solidarity and Development Party (USDP), dem don claim say dem don win 82 out of 102 seats wey counting don finish! Na who go fit talk say dem no dey enjoy di win?

Dey even carry all di eight townships for capital, Naypyidaw, as their jackpot. But, e be like say many people no gree accept this win as legit. Democracy watchdogs don already don dey raise eyebrow, say di election fit just dey give military more power rather than returning am to di people.

Na serious matter wey dey happen o, because since di coup, Aung San Suu Kyi wey be di former leader don dey on lockdown, and di party no even dey see ballot paper for dis election. People wahala don dey escalate; now, dem don turn vote into military agenda.

Some pipo wey dey observe di matter don yell say di election no be anything wey we fit trust. “Na dictatorship we dey live under, my people,” na wetin one of di guys wey dem call Min Khant yan. E talk say even if dem hold di elections, dem no go fit deliver anything good because dem sabi lie well well.

Meanwhile, di military chief, Min Aung Hlaing, wey dey rule like say na him be di boss, don come out, dey smile dey talk say dem go hand over power to civilian government soon. “We go make sure say dis one na free and fair election,” him talk. But many people dey suspect say na wahala dey there.

Di election dey go run in phases; the next ones dey come for January 11 and 25. But di way di civil war dey sweet since di coup, almost one-fifth of di constituencies no go fit vote because of di unrest. Na so wahala dey loom all over.
