Wetin dey happen? Na UK government don finally open eye and don jab visa sanctions for Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) because dem no gree carry back their illegal migrants. E be like say dem don tire for all the palaver and don decide to flex muscle for this one.
The Home Secretary, Shabana Mahmood, na the better person wey dey carry this wahala on top her head, as she dey push DRC and others make dem do wetin dem suppose do. She don revoke fast-track visa processing wey dem dey enjoy before, and now, dem go waka come apply like normal people. No more VIP treatment!
As she dey yarn, she gree thank Angola and Namibia wey don ginger to work with dem. But as for DRC? E be like say dem dey slack, and if dem no sharp up, visa go disappear completely. E no go better for dem at all!
Mahmood talk say, ‘We dey expect countries to play by the rules. If one of their citizens no get right to dey here, dem must carry am back.’ Na so she clear the air make everybody sabi wetin dey go on.
People wey dey watch this matter don dey ask if these visa bans go really solve the migrant wahala wey dem dey face over there. People don day talk say dem need serious measures to fit handle this kind issue, but as e be now, UK don dey show say dem no go take am lightly.
Before, the DRC, Namibia, and Angola dey use dem own style carry chop for visa issue, but now, once dem no gree adhere to dem agreement, visa na dem go carry for head like heavy load. UK don secure to take action san san if people no fit cooperate!
E get one government source wey talk say, ‘Mahmood no go look face if other countries start to show attitude. If dem no gree take their citizens back, visa go follow dem as e don dey happen!’ Na wetin good for the goose, na im good for the gander too.
So, all eyes go dey on DRC, as dem get time to make am right before dem go lose the privilege wey dem get for UK. From wetin we see, dis na just the beginning, so make everybody ready!
