As Mrs. Alimi chop life with fire, we also get Mrs. Fatimah Jamiu, the hairstylist, wey jump into the modern contraceptive train in 2013. She first pay N15,000 for the five-year implant, but e no gree her make sense until free outreach come her side. Now, she don dey sing the praises of family planning for her friends! Na wah! Women dey find better ways to manage their lives and businesses.
Despite the efforts, statistics show say 42% of married women still dey carry unmet needs for family planning. Dr. Iziaq Salako of Health Ministry talk say make we no relax. E mean say Nigeria still gatz wake up for this family planning matter to enjoy social and economic progress.
Contraceptives dey help curb all those unwanted pregnancies wey fit lead to unsafe abortions. E get one community in Lagos where some women die from unsafe abortions, but since family planning awareness take shine for there, dem don barely hear abortion matter again!

Naija’s population don pass 230 million, wey make am the most populous for Africa, and e dey projected say by 2050, dem go reach 500 million! Na why family planning dey crucial so we no go end up in serious wahala. Dr. Ejike Orji talk say high population dey lead to insecurity and high maternal mortality too!
