Fidelity Bank Donates Firefighting Equipment, Save Ikoyi Community

Sweet news don land as Fidelity Bank no dey joke with community safety! Dem don dash Ikoyi Fire Service Station better firefighting tools, wey go help dem respond to any fire wahala wey fit pop up. Dis donation na part of Fidelity Helping Hands Programme (FHHP) and e dey show say di bank no wan just dey carry money, but dem dey serious about protecting our people and our environment.

Dr Meksley Nwagboh wey dey run Brand and Communications for Fidelity Bank talk say, ‘We believe say community safety na shared responsibility. No be only firemen go dey come protect us; na all of us suppose join hand.’ Dem don give dem gally of equipment like hoses and gasoline-powered water pumps, so dem fit respond fast when fire show face.

As dem don enter festive period wey we sabi say small matter fit turn big wahala, Lagos State Controller of Fire Service, Funke Adebayo, don tell everybody say make dem dey watch well and shine their eyes. E even talk say parents suppose teach children to stay away from fireworks during celebrations, because fire matter no be joke. Fire no go fit respect anybody if e catch fire, so make we no treat am like say e dey ok.

Area Commander for Onikan Fire Station, CSF Oswere Michael, dey thankful gidigba to Fidelity Bank for di support. E encourage everybody – families, business owners, and community guys – to always think about fire safety. ‘Prevention na di major goal,’ he talk, ‘and this equipment go help us do our work better.’ E make sense, abi?
