Bauchi Dey Ready: 452 Officers Go Manage Traffic for Xmas

Bauchi State no wan carry last for this Christmas wey dey come! As Christmas dey approach this Thursday, we hear say dem don deploy 452 personnel wey go manage traffic for the state. Na Mr. Apaji Boyi, wey be Sector Commander, na him talk am for one interview wey dem do with News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) for Bauchi on Tuesday.

According to wetin Boyi talk, dem don set para with 12 patrol vehicles to make sure say traffic dey smooth during this festive period wey plenty people go dey waka come Bauchi. E still add say dem gather five ambulances and one tow truck to carry out the job well well.

Na annual tradition dis, and dem dey well prepared as e be. E talk say, “We dey conscious of the volume of traffic wey go dey come inside Bauchi, and because of that, we don deploy personnel and logistics wey go help us.” E dey concentrated on all the entrances to the state because people go dey come from different areas.

“Na so we go dey carry out patrol operation to make sure say all dem wey dey enter the city go fit waka safely,” na wetin the sector commander talk. E come still sabi call on drivers to no dey speed, make dem no overload passengers and goods, and make dem follow all the traffic rules and regulations.

“We gatz remember say na only living people dey celebrate,” e conclude with prayer say, “We dey pray say by next year, we go still dey alive to celebrate this Christmas again,” he add.

No be only traffic wahala dem dey handle. Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) for the state too don set 1,100 personnel to secure lives and properties during this festive season. Na Saminu Yusuf, wey be the NSCDC Public Relations Officer, na him make dis statement wey dey available for media.

Dem talk say the deployment include both covert and overt operations, joint patrols for areas wey dey prone to wahala, as well as protection for critical national assets and infrastructure, plus worship centres, parks, eateries, banks, and hotels. E still add say make all the Area Commanders and Divisional Officers dey vigilant and proactive before, during, and after Christmas.

Omolori Aliyu, wey be the Commissioner of Police for the state, don also assure people say security go dey okay, so dem fit celebrate the festive period without wahala. Na wetin Nafiu Habib, the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) talk, as e dey available for newsmen.

Dem still charge all Area Commanders and Divisional Police Officers to intensify patrols and dey vigilant for any suspicious activities wey fit happen. The Commissioner dey encourage people to dey security conscious and report if dem see anything wey no correct.
