No be small gbege wey dey happen for Naija football now as Kano Pillars go finally land their original home ground, Sani Abacha Stadium, after dem don serve five-match ban wey dem collect due to crowd wahala. Dis new arrangement come after the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) Disciplinary Committee settle matter for dem Wednesday meeting.
Abi una remember say dem close Sani Abacha Stadium after the match wey dem carry dem play against Shooting Stars on October 12, 2025? Na that match e comot crowd wey no sabi comport demself throw objects go field of play and e cause serious palava. But now, na after plenty wahala of protests and appeals, NFF don reduce di ban. Kano Pillars go fit welcome dem fans back in full swing for di last match of di first stanza against Nasarawa United wey go happen for next weekend.
Dem don confirm say di reason wey dis wahala begin na because Kano Pillars no provide correct security wey go take care of their fans properly. Some fans even jump enter pitch go dey attack Shooting Stars players and di match officials. Na serious matter, e fit spoil di reputation of di league if dem no tackle am well.
Club officials don admit say dem supporters misbehave and dem even beg for leniency, but na for dat matter NFF still impose fines wey reach ₦1,000,000 for each of di security lapses and throwing of objects. On top dat, dem go still collect other sanctions wey dey add up to more than ₦5,500,000, plus dem deduct three points and three goals because supporters no fit control dem wahala.
As dem dey settle matter for Kano Pillars, Katsina United no escape di eye of NFF too. Dem get di same trouble for di match wey dem play against Barau FC for November 8. Dem find Katsina United say di security sef no strong and dem supporters sabi throw objects wey injure Barau FC player, Abraham Nana. As a result of dis, NFF don fine dem ₦3,000,000 and dem self go fit return to dem own stadium after dem serve five-match ban.
At least, all dis ones dey show say NFF dey try control di kind wahala wey dey happen for Naija football. Dem don talk say all di decisions go still get room for appeal if di clubs wan challenge am. Na wetin we go dey watch as di drama unfold for di league.
