Dem dey vex like peppered soup because of power outage wey don dey affect dem for weeks. You sabi say na so traffic take jam well well, travelers wey dey go North find am hard to waka.

Dem residents, wey sabi say dem no go clear road until government officials and media show face come reason with dem. One woman wey call herself Doris talk say the light wey suppose dey shine for dem community don dey waka go another area. “Na wah! Other communities dey enjoy light, while we dey suffer for darkness. Our business don spoil because of this situation,” she yarn.

Gideon, another resident, add say dem no fit continue dey live for darkness while others dey shine. E don turn to wahala. Dem no wan open road until somebody with power come hear dem. Na serious matter wey dey call for serious attention!

Hassan, one traveller wey dey plan to go Kaduna, don dey stranded for road the whole day. E talk say the timing of the protest no too make sense, but e still beg dem make dem allow people pass so dem fit continue dem journey. E no easy to dey jam for road like that all day.

As the matter dey hot, one official from Benin Electricity Distribution Company (BEDC) come talk say the power outage wey everybody dey complain about no be because dem wan punish anybody. E say na shortage of gas wey dem dey use generate the light dey cause all this wahala. But wetin we go talk be say, the residents wan solution and dem wan am now!

We dey hope say those wey dey responsible go quickly respond to this protest because the people of Idokpa no dey smile for this kind darkness wey dem dey experience. If government fit show face quick, maybe wahala no go too plenty.
