Naija wey dey burst my head, e be say unity schools don finally reopen after dem close 47 of dem due to wahala wey dey happen for the country. This one na big relief wey come from Federal Ministry of Education for Abuja. Dem drop am as statement on Thursday, wey show say dey serious about children well-being.
According to Boriowo Folasade, wey be the director of press and public relations, dem don put better security arrangements for the schools wey dem shut down, so academic activities don resume well well. Students don return to sah their campuses, and many dey round up their December academic programme while others don finish their examination. Na wetin dem talk go, and e sweet for our belle!
Ministry still carry big assurance come for parents, guardians and wey sabi say, ‘Safety of students na top priority’. Dem dey talk say dey dey work hand in hand with security agencies to make sure say schools dey safe. This na big importing matter o, because no be small wahala wey don happen for dis educational sector!
Na dem same ministry talk say, ‘We no go allow anybody to disturb our academic calendar’. Na correct way to say, dem no wan make any wahala spoil the education of our pikin dem. E be like say dis government dey serious as de dey recognize education as the backbone of our national development.
We fit remember say, just last month, for November 21, dem enforce closure for 41 unity colleges. Dis one na after plenty security issues wey waka around, and dem no want make soldiers or bandits snatch any pikin for school. Schools like Federal Government Girls College for Minjibir, Federal Technical College for Ganduje and many others dey part of dat list wey dem close.
Nigeria don face serious wahala from banditry and kidnapping, with over 300 students and teachers don dey missing before dis, plus the recent wahala wey happen for Niger State and Kebbi State. But now we dey see how Federal Government dey try bring back normalcy, and dat na good news for all of us.
As we dey celebrate dis reopening, we still go keep eye as the government dey ensure security for every school across Naija, so we no go hear say our pikin don run into trouble again. Parents fit rest their mind small as dem dey assure us say dem go protect children rights for better education. Naija, we go keep hope alive!
