According to di oga, NELFUND na federal government initiative wey dey provide interest-free loans for students wey dey seek higher education. Dis initiative don really help students wey dey feel financial pressure. E no be about small change; e don help 1,116 students since e start last year. Dem don receive N144,530,000 already for di school.

As parte of di plan, dem dey work hard to make sure say students dey reside inside campus rather than outside. Dis one na to protect dem from di violent attacks wey don dey happen for di area. E get some students wey don face serious wahala for some months wey don even result in fatalities. So, Prof. Ige dey ginger construction of new hostels wey go fit accommodate plenty students.

Di Vice-Chancellor talk say dem don start work on di NDDC hostel wey don dey abandon for years. Dem don resume work, and e go fit carry at least 500 students when e don finish. Dem dey discuss with OSOPADEC too about di abandoned hostel. He indicate say state government don allocate N500 million to construct another hostel for next year, as e dey inside di 2026 budget.
