Na like play, na like joke, the man begin dey gas for air like say him dey choke on pounded yam! Before dem go sabi wetin dey happen, dem don pack him carry go Police Medical Centre for the place.

But alas, doctors wey de try to help am no fit save him life. E don confirm say na cardiac arrest be the cause, and dem don link am with hypertensive heart disease. Chai! Wey dem suppose dey shine eyes, this one don turn to serious matter oh!

After the matter don settle like dis, dem carry him body go morgue for Alex Ekwueme Federal University Teaching Hospital, where e go rest for now. Police spokesperson for the state, DSP Joshua Ukandu, confirm this sad gist for phone. Him talk say, ‘Yes, we get one officer wey collapse during meeting and dem rush am go hospital. Unfortunately, him no fit survive.”

Ukandu also talk say Popoola no dey sick before the meeting wey lead to this tragic event. According to am, “If e for dey sick, e no go attend the meeting.” Na so e be, the man don do him work no be small. Dem describe am as person wey dey committed and dey serve with professional spirit for Nigeria Police Force.
