No be small matter wey dey happen for Kabba/Bunu Local Government Area for Kogi State, as dem don ban all church activities. Na the Obaro of Kabba, Oba Solomon Owoniyi, be the chief wey order this suspension, join hand with the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) for the area. Dem say this decision no easy, but na for safety of everybody according to wetin dem talk during a meeting wey happen for the monarch palace.
As e be, security don turn wahala for Kabba/Bunu, as bandits dey attack churches and security operatives don discover plenty arms and ammunition from criminal hideouts. Rev. Kayode Osatuyi, wey be the CAN Coordinator for the area, talk say dem no get choice but to follow Obaro’s directive, because na serious security report dey ground. E add say dem go let everybody know when e go dey safe to resume church activities.
Dis issue no dey funny at all, because last month alone, Cherubim and Seraphim Church face attack, and another church, Evangelical Church Winning All for Kiri, also no gree rest. E shock dem as bandits come during church service for Sunday, carry about 20 worshippers go-born-weh. People dey fear to worship for this kind environment, and e be like say the matter don pass joke level.
Kogi State Government don also share warning to all worship centres, especially those wey dey on the edge of towns, make dem rethink their decision to hold services for dis kind crime-carry land. People dey wonder wetin go happen next, but for now, the community don dey pray for peace, as dem no wan see wetin wey no sweet for their belle again.
Na serious palaver for Kabba/Bunu, but dem dey hopeful say better days go come. Until den, make we all dey shine our eyes and join hand to pray for our communities. Church leaders, make una no slack — safety first, before we talk about the gospel!
