Dem higher expenses dey weigh on pretax profit even as revenue dey skyrocket.

On the revenue side, dem see sharp rise for interest income – na 40.7% increase to N2.74 trillion, compared with N1.94 trillion way don record same time last year. Better money dey flow despite total expenses of N814.2 billion, as net interest income rise to N1.92 trillion from N1.2 trillion.

Wetin dey happen with profit? After dem carry out impairment charge wey reach N781.5 billion, net profit stand for N1.14 trillion, wey be 42.63% increase.
