5 charged with stealing N17.7m building materials

 Five men on Friday appeared before an Iyaganku Magistrates Court Ibadan for allegedly stealing building materials worth N17 700 000 The defendants are Oluwaseun Amole Ayo Babatunde Olashore Olatunbosun Stephen Eere and Rasaq Ajayi The defendants whose addresses were not provided are charged with conspiracy and stealing but they pleaded not guilty The prosecutor ASP Oluyemi Iyarami said that the defendants committed the alleged offences from November 2021 to June 7 at Ponti and Co Italware Ltd Challenge Ibadan He alleged that the building materials iron rods iron pipes and panels belonged to the aforementioned company represented by Mr Abimbola Oladejo According to Iyarami the offences contravene Sections 516 and 390 9 of the Criminal Laws of Oyo State 2000 The Magistrate Mrs S I Babalola granted the defendants bail in the sum of N1 5 million each with two sureties each in like sum She adjourned the case until Nov 7 for hearing NewsSourceCredit NAN

Oluyemi Iyarami

He alleged that the building materials – iron rods, iron pipes and panels – belonged to the aforementioned company, represented by Mr Abimbola Oladejo.
