Pivoting the Red Devils: Manchester United vs.
West Ham FA Cup Clash} Manchester United looks to extend their unbeaten streak to eleven games as they welcome West Ham to Old Trafford for the fifth round of the 2022-23 FA Cup. The Red Devils have amassed eight wins and two draws since being edged 3-2 by Arsenal in the Premier League on January 22nd.
Manchester United is gunning for their 13th overall FA Cup title and their first since 2016, while West Ham seeks to reach the final for the first time since 2006.
SportsLine soccer analyst Brandt Sutton has been SportsLine's top soccer editor for five years, scouring data to make the most informed decisions.
For 2022, he boasts a 165-130-2 record and has returned almost $2,200 for $100 players.
After the FA Cup match between Manchester United and West Ham, Sutton has put together a few confident bets, one of them being for plus-money.
Manchester United won the EFL Cup with a 2-0 victory over Newcastle United on Sunday.
Casemiro and Marcus Rashford both scored to give Manchester United their first trophy since they won the Europa League in 2017.
Rashford has scored 25 goals in all competitions this season, including the only goal in their 1-0 victory against West Ham in October.
West Ham is one of the lowest-scoring teams in the league with only 23 goals in 24 matches in the Premier League.
However, they have found their scoring touch recently and put four past Nottingham Forest in their last Premier League match.
Michail Antonio tops their scoring with six goals across all competitions and Jarrod Bowen is close behind with four.
In the FA Cup, West Ham has scored three goals and maintained a clean sheet in both of their games.
In their fourth round, they beat Derby County 1-0, with Said Benrahma's goal ensuring the victory.
Both teams have plenty of reason to be optimistic ahead of this matchup.
Manchester United are buoyed by their recent EFL Cup triumph and West Ham's recent scoring surge could make them difficult for the Red Devils to contain.

There is an "intense" on-screen chemistry between Broadchurch actor Andrew Buchan and his co-star Leila Farzad in the BBC drama Better, according to body language expert Judi James.
She noted that there was a "fascinating on and off-screen body language dynamic" between the duo.
The program has depicted the pair as longstanding friends and James commented that, while their characters portrayed a platonic relationship, the nuanced body language rituals demonstrated something much deeper.
Reports reveal that Buchan informed his wife, Amy Nuttall, that he was leaving her and their marriage before Christmas, shocking the actress and their acquaintances.
Nuttall and Buchan have a daughter, Allegra, who was born in 2014.
It is unknown when the couple parted ways.
Around the same time, Farzad paid a gushing tribute to her co-star and her little girl wrote in her suitcase of her having pride in her mum.
James continued to say that the show involved powerful emotions, strong bonding signals that closely resembled love and sexual attraction which was unrequited on both sides, heightened the best acting from the two leads and kept viewers on the edge of their seats in terms of whether they would end up together or not.
She also said it came across as a brimming relationship that ran the risk of becoming a murder and tension stayed at an all-time high.
Although, Farzad has been married to her husband James since 2013 and has a daughter, it doesn't appear to have kept Buchan away as he has now moved out with his new co-star.
Whilst it was reported by The News of The World that Buchan had been unfaithful, Nuttall previously stated she would "never dream" of chatting up someone else's partner.
The chemistry between Buchan and Farzad has captivated viewers, as both characters were "happily married" - making an intense relationship clearly visible on-screen.
Even though there was an undercurrent of sexual tension, they never crossed the line into a physical relationship.
James said that it was the ability to show such a complex and interwoven connection which proved why they were so successful as a pair.

Two people have been further arrested on suspicion of gross negligence manslaughter as police investigate the disappearance of their newborn baby.
Constance Marten and Mark Gordon were detained on Monday after a member of the public spotted them in a shop.
The couple had been missing for 53 days prior to the arrest, and the police search for them began when the car the pair had been travelling in was found ablaze by the side of a motorway.
Investigations revealed that Marten had likely given birth in the car without a midwife or any medical assistance.
The couple were arrested under suspicion of child neglect; they are now also facing charges of gross negligence manslaughter as the baby has still not been found.
With temperatures falling and no trace after two months, police fear the baby could have "come to harm".
Over 200 officers are searching a 91 square mile area and have requested help from the public, asking that they report any potential sightings and information on where the couple may have been sleeping.
Sniffer dogs, drones, a police helicopter and thermal imaging cameras are also being used in the search.
However, temperatures are expected to drop to 1°C overnight, making the search more difficult.
The parents have yet to provide police with any further information about the baby's condition or whereabouts.
Detective Superintendent Lewis Basford, from the Metropolitan Police, said "we must be open to the fact this may not end in the way we would like".
Police have also offered a £10,000 reward for information, particularly anyone who may have helped the couple.
Ms Marten's estranged father Napier Marten said that although there was relief the two were found, it was "tempered by.
The couple met at drama school in 2016 and had been living nomadically since September 2019, when Marten first showed signs of pregnancy.
Gordon is a registered sex offender and was convicted of rape in 2005.
Police are urging anyone who may have seen the couple to come forward with any relevant information, as authorities work around the clock in an attempt to locate the missing baby.

Klay Thompson is arguably one of the greatest shooters in NBA history.
Serving as a foil to his backcourt teammate and two-time MVP, Stephen Curry, Thompson has cemented himself as one of the greatest offensive and defensive players.
In the Warriors' games against the Rockets and Timberwolves, the 33-year-old has demonstrated an increased scoring responsibility - recording 12 threes and 42 points against the Rockets, followed by six threes and 32 points against the Timberwolves.
Aside from his three-point shooting and defence, Thompson is still looking to grow other elements of his game.
With tips from assistant coach Bruce Fraser, the five-time All-Star is aiming to develop his playmaking and rebounding skills.
Although Thompson has never recorded a triple-double in his career, Fraser has commended his ability, as he will be remembered as one of the greatest shooters no matter the outcome.
Recently, Thompson has shown some development in his rebounding skills, averaging 3.9 this season.
He had seven rebounds against the Rockets, and five against the Timberwolves.
Additionally, he had a great four assists against the Timberwolves, including a pump fake and drive before finding an open Donte DiVincenzo for a go-ahead three.
The potential to record double-doubles or triple-doubles may not be in the makeup of Thompson's game.
Nevertheless, the four-time champion wants to check off recording a triple-double before his career conclusion.
Overall, Klay Thompson's performance has been nothing short of extraordinary, however he wants to bring something new before the end of his career.
Through Fraser's coaching, the 33-year-old is looking to improve on his playmaking and rebounding.
He has already achieved multiple double-doubles in his illustrious career, and he is determined to earn a triple-double before it's too late.

What Happens If The Supreme Court Strikes Down Biden's Student Loan Forgiveness Plan?
President Joe Biden's ambitious plan to provide up to $20,000 in debt relief for 40 million borrowers came under fire on Tuesday during a Supreme Court hearing.
The landmark hearing concerned two legal challenges which had blocked the Biden administration's relief program.
Several justices voiced deep skepticism over the proposal, raising questions as to its future.
The first challenge was brought forward by a group of Republican-led states arguing Biden's plan would deprive them of revenue by encouraging borrowers with commercial FFEL-program loans to move their loans to the Department of Education’s Direct lending program.
The second case, raised by a conservative-leaning legal organization, contested that Biden had launched the program irregularly without the proper regulatory channels, including public comment.
The Biden administration responded to these claims, arguing that the initiative was legal per Congress' authorization of the HEROES Act of 2003, a statute that allows for "waiving" and "modifying" federal student loan programs in the face of a national emergency, such as the Covid-19 pandemic.
Officials also maintained that the challengers could not demonstrate that the student debt relief proposal in any way harmed affected agencies such as MOHELA.
For the two borrowers in the second lawsuit, the administration argued that one was still eligible for student loan forgiveness and the other had no legitimate injury in the matter.
Several justices seemed to dispute the legality of Biden's student loan forgiveness proposal.
Chief Justice John Roberts suggested that Congress should be the one to make such a drastic decision.
Justice Thomas and Kavanaugh noted the language of the HEROES Act lacked any reference to loan forgiveness or cancellation.
Gorsuch and Alito questioned the fairness of the plan to those who had managed to pay off their student debt or had never taken on any.
Broadly, the three liberal justices focused on the issue of standing.
Justice Sotomayor noted that a third party cannot step in on someone else's behalf in a federal lawsuit.
Justice Kagan elucidated the independence of MOHELA from the state of Missouri.
Finally, Justice Jackson expressed worry about the Court's precedent should the ruling extend the states' ability to intervene in federal program.
The Supreme Court is expected to issue a ruling in May or June. A ruling in favor of the administration could lead to student loan forgiveness for approved borrowers within weeks.
An unfavorable ruling, however, would have the administration returning to the drawing board, as it has no backup plan in place.
Regardless of the Court's decision, President Biden has extended the current loan payment pause to 60 days after either June 30 or the date of the Court's ruling.
Borrowers should keep an eye on the Court's outcome for a glimpse of their future debt relief.

The defense concluded their case in the Murdaugh double murder trial on Monday, with the prosecution presenting additional witnesses in response.
Judge Clifton Newman and defense attorney Dick Harpootlian were both shocked at the number of individuals which the state intended to call – initially just four, but ultimately seven.
Harpootlian lodged several objections, citing the necessity to end proceedings soon.
The first witness called by prosecutor Creighton Waters was Ronnie Crosby, Murdaugh's former law partner.
He attested to their partnership, including working together on a jury case in the same courtroom, during which Alex was able to portray emotion during the closing argument.
When cross-examined, Crosby stated that Alex was 'theatrical' in the way his father and grandfather had been.
Harpootlian was keen to know whether Crosby was angry with Murdaugh for allegedly stealing money from clients, to which Crosby affirmed his love for Murdaugh, and the emotions of being confronted with a person he knew to be so different from his expectations.
Following on was Dr. Ellen Reimer, who conducted the autopsies, and was called upon due to a forensic pathology expert's dissent from her findings.
Dr. Reimer gave insight as to why some things can only be identified through direct examination, and expressed a wish to have X-rayed Paul's brain, as these cases were uncommon for her.
Hampton County Sheriff T.C.
Smalls was then called, due to Murdaugh's claim that the sheriff was aware of him having blue lights in his car - the sheriff denied this, and also reported that Murdaugh had never consulted him regarding potential threats after the boat crash.
Next, Paul McManigal took the stand, and discussed tests he did on an Iphone 11 Pro and comparable operating system, in order to test whether throwing it would activate the 'raise to wake' feature.
The results of his tests showed this to be unlikely, except when it was raised up and shaken.
His evidence was questioned on why he hadn't recorded his observations.
Mark Ball, Murdaugh's ex-partner and friend, was then invited, as he had originally been called in as a defense witness, and his statements aligned with Murdaugh's.
This includes testifying that Murdaugh had blue lights on a vehicle, but not at the night of the murders, and that he had heard Murdaugh mention he checked the bodies before calling 911.
The jury will now take a trip to the Moselle property to further their investigations, before presenting their closing arguments and commencing deliberation.

Mississippi Governor Tate Reeves recently signed a bill into law banning gender-affirming care for minors less than 18 years of age.
This is part of a greater effort amongst conservative states to restrict services for transgender individuals, including participation in gender-affirming activities and sporting events.
The measure took effect immediately following its passing and denotes a major milestone in the U.S, as it is the highest number of bills targeting transgender people within a single year, according to the Human Rights Campaign.
Rob Hill, Mississippi State Director of the Human Rights Campaign, condemned the legislation, stating that it would lead to further demonization and alienation of transgender kids who are particularly vulnerable.
The bill's passing comes only two weeks after transgender teenagers and their supporters held a protest in opposition of the law.
Furthermore, similar attempts to restrict gender-affirming care have been unsuccessful in other states due to court orders being passed.
Tate Reeves is currently running for reelection and affirmed his commitment to traditional family values when signing the ban.
However, the Human Rights Campaign still maintain that this is an act of discrimination and political pandering interfering with people's rights as parents.
The bill has now been enacted and will remain law unless overturned by higher courts.

Gavin Lux' Devastating ACL Injury} The Los Angeles Dodgers infielder Gavin Lux will miss the entire 2023 season after suffering a torn ACL in his right knee.
Manager Dave Roberts shared the news and expressed his sadness, as the team had been counting on Lux to be their starting shortstop this year.
Lux himself said he felt something pop in his leg, with his cleat getting stuck in the ground.
He then tried to duck out of the way of the throw before his right knee buckled and felt numb.
Surgery is scheduled for March 7.
Veteran Miguel Rojas and Chris Taylor are the potential candidates to fill Lux's position.
Despite feeling sorry for the 25-year-old, Rojas said he's prepared to take up a larger role, while Lux is determined to fight his way back and be ready to return in 2024.
Having played 129 games last season and leading the National League with seven triples and six homers, Lux had a career-best .276 batting average as well as 42 RBIs. Cruel as his injury may be, the Dodgers hope for a speedy recovery for their beloved player.
