It’s been over a year since we last faced the Gunners.
On New Year’s Day 2022, Pep Guardiola’s side edged an enthralling encounter at the Emirates Stadium, as we came from behind to claim three points.
Bukayo Saka had given the hosts a half-time lead, before Riyad Mahrez equalised from the penalty spot shortly after the interval.
Tempers were flaring in the capital and the fixture reached fever pitch when Gabriel was sent off for the Gunners with over 30-minutes remaining.
With the match looking likely to end in a draw, Rodrigo snatched a vital three points for City when prodding home deep into injury time.
Erling Haaland’s netted his fourth Premier League hat-trick of the season as we put Wolves to the sword 3-0.
The Norway international made it to 25 Premier League goals in the Premier League – 31 in all competitions – following a masterclass in finishing at the Etihad.
His first came on 40 minutes when he coolly headed home Kevin De Buryne’s pinpoint cross from the right.
The 22-year-old then doubled his tally from the penalty spot five minutes after half-time, before claiming the match ball four minutes later with a cushioned effort past Jose Sa.

Tina Turner is not dead, the singer is alive and well in 2023, but a death hoax about her has been going around on the internet.
Social media has become one of the trending places for breaking news and this has allowed fake news to sweep in and take control.
Unfortunately, with many people interacting with posts, it has now become hard to differentiate between what’s real and what’s not.
The post was made by a YouTube page that goes by the name Celebrity Biographies. At first, one would be convinced that the post is indeed real.
However, if you scroll through the page you would notice that the YouTube user is known to have clickbait headlines and has reported on several death hoax stories.
Other celebrities who have been a victim of death hoaxes by this page are Whoopi Goldberg, Kate Winslet, Will Smith, and more.
Given that people do not have control over what is posted on social media it is important to look for authentic sources before interacting with any post.
In most cases, these would be people who are verified by different social media platforms. However, if you do come across any information that you are certain is false, we urge you to report it immediately.
The 49ers coach said he would be "very surprised" if the ninth-year veteran practiced ahead of the team's trip to Philadelphia. He also added he has been impressed with third-string Brock Purdy's game management to this point of the season.
Garoppolo's game status isn't surprising, considering he broke his foot in a Week 13 victory over the Dolphins. His injury opened the door for Purdy to take over the starting position in much the same way Garoppolo took over for Trey Lance in Week 2.
Regardless, there will be no quarterback controversy for the NFC championship game. Whether the same can be said for Super Bowl 57 (assuming the 49ers win the NFC championship) is another story.
It's possible Garoppolo could recover in time for the game on Feb. 12, but it's worth questioning whether Shanahan would want to shake up the offense in the final game of the season. Purdy has led the 49ers on a 7-0 win streak, not including the game he took over for Garoppolo against Miami.
Purdy and Co. will face an Eagles defense that tallied 70 sacks and 17 interceptions in the regular season. Those marks were good for first and tied-for-fourth in the league, respectively. Philadelphia followed that up with a 38-7 divisional-round victory over the Giants, one in which it sacked Daniel Jones five times, intercepting him once.
Jimmy Garoppolo is set to have an X-Ray on Tuesday to determine his injury progress. However, head coach Kyle Shanahan isn’t optimistic about Garoppolo’s chances of contributing in the San Francisco 49ers’ NFC Championship Game against the Philadelphia Eagles, per Matt Barrows.
“Kyle Shanahan maintains he’ll be ‘very surprised’ if Garoppolo can contribute in the NFCC. If the 49ers win, having Garoppolo as a SB backu (backup) seems like a more likely scenario,” Barrows wrote on Twitter.
Brock Purdy will start regardless of Garoppolo’s status. But having a proven alternative QB option could prove to be pivotal if anything were to happen to Purdy. Jimmy Garoppolo offers a fairly steady veteran presence and has played in big games before. If anything, he could give Purdy words of advice on the sideline. With that being said, Purdy has been able to rise up to the occasion during the NFL Playoffs.
He’s remained cool, calm, and collected for the 49ers. Brock Purdy recently addressed his success for San Francisco.
Nevertheless, having Jimmy Garoppolo available for backup duties would provide a safety net for the 49ers in their NFC Championship Game against the Eagles.
We will provide updates on Garoppolo’s status as they are made available.
Tess, Joel and Ellie's journey takes a dark twist in the HBO adaptation.
The Last of Us episode 2 landed on HBO Max on Sunday, and it saw Ellie, Tess and Joel take the first steps of their dark journey across the US. Fans of the classic video game will undoubtedly be pleased at how closely the series mirrors the source material.
There were a few major deviations from the game though, so let's dive into those.
In contrast, episode 2's opening flashback reveals how the Cordyceps fungus brought the world to ruin in 2003. After being bitten by an unknown person, a woman working at a flour and grain factory in Jakarta, Indonesia, chomped on her coworkers before being gunned down.
Ibu Ratna realizes the world is doomed.
Apparently accepting that this was the end, Ratna asks to be taken home so she can spend whatever time she has left with her family. Series writer Craig Mazin told CNET this is scariest moment in the show for him.
"That's terrifying to me," he said. "It grounds everything, and the more we can make the peripheral feel real, the more the center will feel real."
The game forces characters to avoid Cordyceps spores.
Mysterious teen Ellie (Bella Ramsey) is immune to the fungal brain infection that has reduced much of the populace to savage cannibals, so smuggler partners Tess and Joel (Anna Torv and Pedro Pascal) have been tasked with delivering her to the rebel group known as the Fireflies. They hope to replicate Ellie's resistance and restore the world.
The episode's 2023 story sticks closely to the game, right down to Tess hiding the fact that she'd been bitten by one of the infected in the Bostonian Museum. They reach the Capitol Building and find the corpses of the Fireflies they were meant to bring Ellie to.
Tess reveals her wound, accepts that she's doomed and demands that a reluctant Joel bring Ellie to their buddies Bill and Frank, so they can help get Ellie to the Fireflies.
Tess wants to see the world restored, even if she won't be there to see it.
"You get her there. You keep her alive. And you set everything right," she says. "All the shit we did. Please say yes, Joel, please."
In the game, soldiers of the authoritarian remnants of the US military arrive at the building and Tess stays behind to delay their adversaries. She's quickly gunned down, but her sacrifice gives Joel and Ellie the chance to escape.
The show, however, sees a horde of infected descend on the Capitol Building, and Tess stays behind to cover Joel and Ellie's escape. She dumps gas and grenades all over the floor.
"Joel, save who you can save," she says, prompting him to pull a struggling Ellie to safety.
Joel suddenly finds himself responsible for Ellie.
As the infected rush in, Tess struggles to ignite the lighter and blow them all up. A particularly horribly mutated infected notices her and tendrils extend from its mouth into hers -- never have I wanted a flame to ignite more.
Much to our relief, she manages light the fire and closes her eyes before the explosion kills her and a bunch of infected. Ellie and Joel witness the blast from outside, and a quietly devastated Joel walks away.
This bleak tale continues on HBO Max next Sunday, Jan. 29.
SANTA CLARA — The road to the Super Bowl runs through the streets of Philadelphia.
The 49ers do not expect a lot of brotherly love on Sunday in the NFC Championship Game, and Pro Bowl tight end George Kittle would not want it any other way.
“I know how much the fans love the opposing team and all the fans,” Kittle said wryly.
The Eagles advanced to the NFC final with a convincing 38-7 victory over the New York Giants on Saturday.
The 49ers were pushed to the limit Sunday at Levi’s Stadium, and came away with a hard-fought 19-12 victory over the Dallas Cowboys.
Those outcomes set up a matchup Sunday in Philadelphia featuring the two best teams in the NFC with a spot in the Super Bowl at stake.
The extended forecast calls for a crisp day at Lincoln Financial Field with the temperature expected in the high-40s for the kickoff at 3 p.m., local time.
Kittle said he expects the environment to be raucous, just as it was Sunday for the 49ers’ victory over the Cowboys.
“I love Levi’s,” he said. “I think it's a fantastic atmosphere, but if I'm not going to be biased, I mean . . . Kansas City and the Eagles, I mean, they're pretty top tier.
WWE 2K23 is officially set to launch on 17 March 2023 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and PC via Steam. This year’s edition of the annual franchise will spotlight 16-time world champion John Cena, with 2K Showcase mode set to focus on his impressive, long-running career. After a month filled with rumours and hearsay, we finally know more about what to expect when this series returns.
As in past years, WWE 2K23 will play host to a range of game modes, each providing new ways to play the game and spice up your digital wrestling career – whether as a General Manager guiding the modern generation of wrestling stars, or as your very own DIY wrestler in MyRISE career mode.
This year’s big series twist arrives in 2K Showcase mode, which features a franchise-first change to gameplay. Rather than playing as John Cena, you’ll be working on taking him down. Each of the 14 matches included in 2K Showcase for WWE 2K23 will be inspired by an iconic match that’s been lost by Cena in his career. As the ‘final boss’ of these encounters, you’ll be tasked with conquering a real titan of the wrestling world.
While Cena’s cover star slot may disappoint some fans, given he’s been a frequent feature of WWE video games (last covering the game in WWE 2K15) – the timing was simply too perfect for Visual Concepts and 2K Games to pass up. This year marks the 20th anniversary of Cena wrestling for WWE. While he’s become a part-time star on Raw and Smackdown recently, only appearing for one-off shows, celebrations, and special events like Wrestlemania, there’s no doubt he’s earned his place as the cover star of WWE 2K23.
Visual Concepts aims to celebrate his achievements with this accolade. While there’s typically debate around each game’s cover star, it was reportedly easy for the team to decide on this year’s lucky face.
To face Cena, you’ll embody a range of opponents, each with their own finishing moves and specialties. While the 14 included matches in Showcase mode have yet to be detailed, we can expect plenty of tenured wrestlers in the mix.
Beyond the flagship 2K Showcase mode, WWE 2K23 will also integrate new modes, and new wrestlers. WarGames is the standout debut feature of the lot, with this unique match type allowing players to take part in 3v3 or 4v4 single and multiplayer action, set across two rings. This should help keen players live out their NXT and Survivor Series dreams, complete with new interactions and multi-ring mayhem.
Another change from the stellar WWE 2K22 will be seen in the game’s roster. WWE 2K22 ran into the issue of being outdated by the time it released, as a tough year of budget cuts and wrestler redundancies reshaped the roster too late for the Visual Concepts team to make extreme changes.
While Visual Concepts is able to remain swift with many of its character choices, forming attire and placing wrestlers in MyRISE career mode in an appropriate form, the fast-paced events of WWE do occasionally provide an obstacle to the team.
Despite this, and despite the quick turnaround between WWE 2K22 and WWE 2K23, there are plenty of new, fan-favourite wrestlers that have made the cut for this iteration of the game. Cody Rhodes, who notably just missed out on inclusion last year, will be fully playable in WWE 2K23.
Bad Bunny, the award-winning Puerto Rican music artist and phenomenal guest wrestler in WWE, will also appear in WWE 2K23 as a Deluxe Edition bonus – a well-earned spot, after several impressive showings in major WWE events. He’ll join fellow stars like Roman Reigns, Brock Lesnar, Drew McIntyre, and ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin on the roster, which has yet to be revealed in full.
WWE 2K23 launches for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and Windows PC on 17 March 2023.

WWE 2K23 officially launches on March 17 with John Cena on the cover of all three editions.
Available on PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One and Series X and S, and PC, WWE 2K23 will celebrate Cena's 20th anniversary as a wrestling superstar by featuring him on the three covers (below).
While the Standard Edition ($59.99) arrives on March 17, the Deluxe Edition ($99.99) and Icon Edition ($119.99) of WWE 2K23 both launch early on March 14. A Cross-Gen Edition of the game will also be available for $69.99 on March 17, which comes with both previous and current generation versions.
WWE 2K23 also promises several franchise advancements. A refreshed 2K Showcase mode lets players revisit Cena's most iconic matches with commentary from the man himself; the introduction of an official WarGames mode lets players engage in intense three versus three and four versus four matches, either in single-player or multiplayer; and other modes including MyGM, MyFACTION, MyRISE, Universe, and Creation Suite have also been expanded.
The Standard and Cross-Gen versions of the game include all of the above, while the Deluxe Edition also includes the Bad Bunny bonus pack alongside the Season Pass which will eventually add five post-launch DLC packs to WWE 2K23.
The Icon Edition includes everything in the Deluxe Edition plus the Ruthless Aggression Pack, which celebrates Cena by including his prototype character model, Leviathan Batista, developmental rookie versions of Brock Lesnar and Randy Orton, the John Cena Legacy Championship, and WrestleMania 22 Arena. It also comes with an Emerald Paul Heyman MyFACTION Manager Card and three Deluxe Premium Launch MyFACTION Card Packs.
Preordering the game will also reward players with the Bad Bunny Bonus Pack, which includes Bad Bunny as a playable character and a Ruby tier Bad Bunny MyFACTION card.
"It is a pleasure to tell the story of my career through the WWE 2K23 Showcase," said Cena. "2K has done a fantastic job capturing and invigorating the WWE 2K franchise through this concept, and I am honoured to grace the cover of WWE 2K23."
In our 8/10 review of the previous game, IGN said: "WWE 2K22 is a tremendous leap forward compared to 2K20. The action is faster, more pick-up-and-play friendly, the roster of 160+ wrestlers has never looked better, and the addition of MyGM mode rounds out a well rounded offering of modes for just about every type of wrestling fan."
Doja Cat’s Planet Her era has been on autopilot since the musician last leaned into actively promoting singles from the hit-filled record, but her recent ventures into fashion have had an otherworldly presence on their own. Ahead of the Schiaparelli Haute Couture Spring/Summer 2023 show in Paris, Doja Cat spent nearly five hours having 30,000 ruby red Swarovski crystals applied all over her body by hand.
Stepping into the show, the singer was unrecognizable only to those who haven’t yet made themselves familiar with the boost of creative freedom her completely shaved head has provided for her since she chopped it all off last year. The flat surface functioned as a type of canvas for makeup artist Pat McGrath who helmed the look that stole the show from the front row.
The look, which she showed off at the Schiaparelli event, took nearly five hours to put together.
Doja Cat turned heads when she arrived at the Schiaparelli Haute Couture Spring Summer 2023 show for Paris Fashion Week on Monday (Jan. 23) covered head to toe in red jewels and makeup.
Makeup artist Pat McGrath offered an even closer look at Doja’s glittering visage, which she revealed took four hours and 58 minutes to create. “The final product was a magical, mesmerising masterpiece of sparkling brilliance,” McGrath wrote, thanking the Grammy winner for her “sublime patience” during the process.
Recently, Doja nabbed five nominations at the upcoming 2023 Grammy Awards — including record of the year for “Woman” — as well as five more for this year’s iHeartRadio Awards. Interestingly, should her song beat out the crowded field for record of the year, it would become the shortest track to take home the trophy in more than half a century.
Get a closer look at Doja’s jaw-dropping Schiaparelli look and all the work that went into creating it below.
