Credit: https://soccer.nbcsports.com/2023/01/06/fa-cup-third-round-fixtures-results-how-to-watch-stream-link-predictions-jan-6-schedule/Chelsea hope the third time really is the charm when they face Manchester City in the FA Cup third round on Sunday.
The Blues were knocked out of the Carabao Cup by City in November, before losing 1-0 to Pep Guardiola's side in the Premier League on Thursday. The latest defeat included an impressive performance from Chelsea but, as has been the case this season, it wasn't enough.
With an ever-growing list of injuries to contend with, this is the line-up Graham Potter could select to try and keep Chelsea's trophy dream alive.
Chukwuemeka excelled against City / Craig Mercer/MB Media/GettyImages
BY: Kepa Arrizabalaga - With Edouard Mendy still out, Kepa will have a chance to make up for his poor decision that saw City win on Thursday.
RB: Cesar Azpilicueta - It would be great to see young Dion Rankine give him a few minutes here, but veteran Azpilicueta will likely get the nod.
CB: Trevoh Chalobah - Chalobah, unfortunate to have been left out of the squad recently, will step in and allow Thiago Silva to rest.
CB: Kalidou Koulibaly - Wesley Fofana is injured and Benoit Badiashile won't be rushing into action, so expect Koulibaly to get another start.
LB: Marc Cucurella - Lewis Hall has proven capable of playing for Chelsea but the teenager, who is not a left-back anyway, may have to accept an appearance from the bench behind Cucurella.
CM: Jorginho- Shockingly out of the lineup on Thursday, Jorginho has a tough job of matching Mateo Kovacic's level of performance in the last game.
CM: Denis Zakaria - The biggest change of the season, Zakaria has been quietly Chelsea's best midfielder in recent games. That purchase option doesn't seem so silly now.
CM: Carney Chukwuemeka - Chukwuemeka enjoyed what looked like a great performance against City and almost capped it off with a goal. The 19-year-old is ready to take on more responsibilities.
AM: Hakim Ziyech - Losing Raheem Sterling, Christian Pulisic and Mason Mount to injury in the space of around 24 hours isn't ideal for Potter, whose attacking options are incredibly slim.
ST: Kai Havertz - Havertz impressed in his free-roaming role last time out and will likely take on a role as some sort of AM/ST hybrid.
ST: Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang - Subbed off from time to time in the same game (which has been blown out of proportion considering he came on after five minutes), Aubameyang will be eager to prove himself to his critics.
Credit: https://www.90min.com/posts/chelsea-predicted-lineup-vs-man-city-fa-cup-6-1-23Everton Under-21s suffered defeat in their first outing of the year as West Ham United beat them 2-1 on Friday night.
Kamarai Swyer headed the visitors in front after 28 minutes and a Divin Mubama penalty early in the second half gave the young Blues an uphill battle.
The Toffees brought the one down when Tom Cannon struck a lethal strike from a free kick, sending the ball into the top left corner, but it ultimately resulted in a consolation effort for Paul Tait's side.
It was a physical contest at Southport in the first Premier League 2 outing since early November when the Blues came closest to opening the scoring in the early stages.
Cannon got past the Hammers defense down the left side, cutting through the edge of the box and heading the ball into the far corner. However, Krisztian Hegyi dropped to deny the Irish striker.
The Blues continued to build momentum as another promising opportunity arrived 23 minutes into the contest.
Francis Okoronkwo found Stanley Mills in the final third, the midfielder producing some beautiful footwork to facilitate the ball's passage on a sliding challenge, cutting off his right foot and seizing a chance towards goal, his effort a fraction beyond from the right post.
Despite promising chances, it was West Ham who took the lead five minutes later.
Junior Robinson's delivery found the head of Swyer, whose effort bounced off the bar and into the net to give Hammers the lead.
Tait's side started the second half with intention, but suffered a setback when the visitors were awarded a penalty.
Robinson was brought down in the box by Reece Welch. Forward Mubama stepped up to receive and slotted the ball into the left side of the net, despite Zan Luk Leban's efforts to reach it.
The second goal for the London side seemed to dampen the hosts' momentum, but Cannon's free kick in the closing stages brought Everton back to life.
It was a perfectly placed effort from the 20-year-old who struck the ball 20 yards from the left side and past Hegyi into the top corner on 80 minutes.
Confidence and belief grew for the Blues in the closing stages, but they could not find a justified draw.
Tait's side return to action next weekend with a trip to take on Blackburn Rovers.

Kick-off at Motspur Park, the Cottagers' training ground, is scheduled for 19:00 GMT. Unfortunately, the match will not be broadcast live on MUTV due to a clash with Erik ten Hag's first team, who take on Everton at Old Trafford an hour later.
However, you can get full-time and half-time highlights of the game on the United app.

They have: Thousands of people in Wana, South Waziristan, took to the streets on Friday against the recent wave of terrorism and demanded the immediate restoration of peace in the region, media reported.
The protest comes as terrorism rears its head in the country again, especially in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan, Dawn reported.
Pakistan has seen a rise in terror attacks across the country, believed to have been planned and directed by outlawed leaders of Afghanistan-based in Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), reported Alba.
The TTP, which has ideological ties to the Afghan Taliban, carried out more than 100 attacks last year, most of which occurred after August, when the group's peace talks with the Pakistani government began to falter.
Yesterday, security forces killed 11 militants, including a key commander from the banned Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan, in a raid in South Waziristan. Separately, two separate attacks on police in Lakki Marwat and Dera Ismail Khan left five officers injured.
As terrorism rears its head, residents of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have taken to the streets, demanding that the government do more.
On Thursday, thousands of people demonstrated for peace in the Bajaur district.
On Friday in Wana, people from all walks of life, including political workers, social activists, shopkeepers and youth, attended the organized peace march.
Holding white flags and banners, the participants chanted slogans for peace and against the new wave of terrorism in the region, particularly in the tribal districts, Dawn reported.
Leaders of the PPP, PTM, LMP-N Y AWP He went to the demonstration.
They said that the government was responsible for establishing security in the region, stating that terrorism was not acceptable at any price.
Speakers noted that there was an increase in attacks against security personnel in Wana, while ordinary citizens were kidnapped for extortion.
They complained that the government had failed to control the situation and warned that protests in the area would continue until a police force was formed to remove both the "good and bad Taliban" from the area, Dawn reported.

What should have been all good things for the French club has turned into a storm.
The friction between its two most recognized stars, Lionel Messi -world champion with Argentina in Qatar- and Kylian Mbappé -finalist defeated with France- has left an open wound among the PSG teammates.
It is a wound that could increase with MessiThe rumored contract renewal until 2024 and his requests to the president Nasser Al-Khelaifi.
One of the most controversial gestures occurred after Messi's return from his vacation.
When his teammates wanted to pay tribute to him for the victory in Qatar, mbappe he took a few days off, authorized by the club, to the United States. Even Christopher Galtierthe PSG coach himself had to intervene.
"Leo did not behave badly and in the four months that I have been here I think that the relationship he has with Kylian is good.
"Kylian had a good attitude, he was disappointed by the defeat but he went to congratulate Leo with a lot of class. I think that's good for the sport and for the team."
But the images on the pitch of the World Cup final are clear. Both forgot the colors of the French club and got into a brawl that did not go unnoticed.
A moment that quickly went viral on social media and was commented on by everyone.
Can Messi and Mbappé continue working together? The Argentine victory was a hard blow for mbappe. Your renewal with paris saint germain He is reportedly signed and many are wondering what demands he made.
The first would undoubtedly be to become the leader of the sports project, which would leave Kylian Mbappé in the background, who, it should be remembered, left his move to Real Madrid precisely to assume that role in the team.
Messi could also ask about his friend neymar to stay at the club, something that has been questioned in recent days, since the French club will also have to readjust its salary mass.
Besides, Messi He has already seen two of his companions Angel Di Maria and Leandro Paredes getting fired last summer.
All this could again cause a storm that will be difficult to control.
Messi continues to be a clear MLS target, with intermiami confirming before the start of the tournament in Qatar that the talks with the Argentine were at an advanced stage and Mbappé, for his part, continues to show signs that he is even willing to reduce his fee to move if nothing changes at PSG.
For the moment, with mbappe With a few days off, neither Neymar nor Messi will be available for paris saint germainFrench Cup match against a third division team Chateauroux.

The second season of Netflix ginny and georgia It's been a wild ride for headline Ginny (Antonia Gentry) and Georgia (brianne howey), plus just about everyone else in their lives, as their relationships have been propelled in new directions amid discord and secrets lurking in the shadows. While this mother and her daughter have worked hard to get to a somewhat decent place with each other, particularly after Ginny learned the truth about what happened to her stepfather Kenny (Darryl Scheelar) in season 1 of Ginny and Georgia, neither could prepare for the consequences of their respective actions with the others in their lives. Everything is a mess, and it keeps getting worse.
Building up to the season finale, Austin (Diesel La Torraca) sees Georgia choking Cynthia (sabrina grdevich) dying husband before shooting his father Gil (Aaron Ashmore) — in the midst of a violent altercation with Georgia — in the arm with one of her mother's secret weapons, leaving the family to clean up the mess before Paul (scott goalie) returns home and the police get involved. Joseph (raymond ablack) and Georgia finally confess to knowing about their meeting many years ago, while Joe opens up about his feelings for Georgia, who unfortunately doesn't reciprocate in the way he hopes. But Georgia calls the venue of her upcoming wedding and she cancels the event before getting back into bed with Paul. Meanwhile, MarcoFelix Mallard) is struggling with his depression, leaving his family worried and creating a rift between himself and Ginny in their romantic relationship that results in an early breakup. Ultimately, there are a lot of open threads to tie together in the Ginny & Georgia season 2 finale, which doesn't disappoint by delivering the same level of drama the show delivered with its season one finale. Let's break it down.
Image of Ginny, Marcus and Max via NetflixAfter their harsh breakup, Ginny is very upset about Marcus. She confides in her friends at school, but it's just another area of pent-up tension over Ginny's messy life. She is now depressed by Marcus, scared by Gil and trying to find her role in her life after spending several weeks in therapy examining her relationship with her mother. Ginny doesn't quite understand what's going on with Marcus and just tries to hate him for what he's been through, but it's not that simple. While she was lying in bed and crying for Marcus, Georgia and Max (Sara Waisglass) interrupts her to give her some perspective on her situation with Marcus.
Max tells them both how Marcus occasionally has episodes like this where his parents have to make sure he gets back on his medication until it passes, which is exactly what's happening now. He doesn't get out of bed at all except for school, as we've seen in various episodes of the second season, and his parents Ellen (jennifer robertson) and Clint (chris kenopic) are incredibly concerned. Given the circumstances, Georgia suggests that what Marcus needs right now more than a girlfriend is just a friend, something Max confirms she has very few (if any). Later, after Marcus returns home drunk with Ellen and Georgia talking, Georgia meets him in the garage smoking weed as she goes outside. Georgia joins him and he rushes to Ginny and asks how she is. Georgia tries to assure Marcus that he did the right thing by not keeping Ginny, but he also confesses that he was good to her and taught her what it is to be loved. As she wishes him good luck and implores him to be better with her parents, Marcus drunkenly confesses that he will keep the secret Ginny told him about how Georgia killed her late husband.
With a new perspective on the situation, Ginny goes to Marcus and tries to explain what she has learned. That not every situation is about her, and when she heard Marcus and Max talk about relationships (in an earlier episode) and how he thought relationships weren't for him, she was hurt, but didn't take the time to consider. your perspective. She now she has, and she is ready to apologize and be there for Marcus like he was there for her when he needed him. Except this time, she'll be there for him as a friend for as long as she needs.
Meanwhile, Max is delighted that Sophie (humbly gonzalez) is finally interested in her again after spending literally the entire season pining for her and whining over the brief end of their relationship. However, Max now has a new flirtation with Silver, and they're almost ready to start something real. So how does Max choose? Fortunately and unfortunately, Sophie makes the choice easy for Max when they meet at Blue Farm for lunch. Max questions why Sophie was so hard on her over the last few weeks, which results in a conversation about what they want out of this relationship. Max is just starting to get over her, which she is taken aback, and Sophie makes it worse by saying that the reason she called things off was solid, but she wants us to be friends with her. However, Max doesn't want to be friends with her and leaves abruptly. Later, he finds Silver and makes things official, but will his hesitation come back to haunt this new romance?

The story of Georgia and Gil in the image of 'Ginny & Georgia' via NetflixIn flashbacks, Georgia (nikki romel) and Gil (ben caldwell) have more than crossed the point of no return in their relationship. Gil is incredibly abusive, leaving Georgia covered in bruises while he holds Ginny and Austin over his head as the reason why he has to stay. When he comes home one night, Georgia pulls a gun on him, but he talks her out of pulling the trigger by taunting her with Austin and the consequences of her relationship with him if she killed the father. her. He leaves her with seemingly no way out, unable to find an escape with two small children to protect her from her as well. However, Georgia later finds her way out of it. In another flashback, she sees Gil's briefcase unattended and writes himself a check from her company's checkbook, as she had seen Gil do before her when she found out about her embezzling habit. Only Georgia writes herself a check for one hundred thousand dollars, far more than the amount Gil's bosses continually overlook. With this, she gets some of the money she needs to survive, gets Gil thrown in jail, and escapes a life of domestic violence.
Going to the Chapel… Image via NetflixAfter Georgia's run-ins with Joe and Gil and her secretly calling off the wedding to Paul, Georgia plans to escape Wellsbury like she has at any time in her life when things have gotten too complicated. When she goes inside to check on Ginny, before Max shows up, Georgia makes a comment to Ginny about beautiful Lake Powell, where people live on houseboats. As Max and Ginny leave, Georgia pulls out a suitcase and begins packing up Ginny's daughter's belongings, clearly anticipating making this move in the very near future. Initially, Ginny shrugs off Lake Powell's comment, but then she joins in as she is with her friends as she talks about how much she enjoys living in Wellsbury and rushes home. Before confronting her mother, Ginny calls the wedding venue and learns that Georgia called and cancelled, confirming her fears.
As soon as Georgia gets home from talking to Marcus, Ginny confronts her about calling off the wedding, asking if she really loves Paul. Georgia says yes, which is why she called off the wedding and why they have to leave (somewhat surprising considering it seemed to be Joe's confession that led Georgia to call things off). Ginny encourages her mother to tell Paul the truth about his past, well, most of the truth, so he can get over his fear, get married, and live the life he deserves and wants in Wellsbury after experiencing so much pain. . So that's what Georgia does. She tells Paul her secrets, minus the murders, and gives him the choice to be with her or run screaming. As she has done before, and after taking some time to think, Paul stands his ground and talks about Georgia's hold on him and her heart. Paul takes this opportunity to confront Gil with a lawyer and a cop to make sure he knows he won't blackmail Georgia or get a dime from Paul's family. He threatens to call Gil's probation officer and have him put back in jail, and also confirms with his lawyer that they are prepared to fight for custody if Gil steps out of line again. But, with the wedding back on track and without a venue, Ginny and Georgia have to do some creative thinking to make sure things go smoothly, since everything else is still planned for the big day.
Image of The Big Cliffhanger at the end of 'Ginny & Georgia' season 2 via NetflixWhile the wedding is underway, private investigator Gabriel Cordova (Alex Mallari Jr.), who has been on Georgia's trail since Ginny & Georgia began and has a potential new means of bringing her down, finally confesses the truth of her identity to her boyfriend Nick (and Beirne). Nick is initially horrified that he would lie about being a third grade teacher named Jesse, but Gabriel begs Nick to listen to him, as his proximity to Georgia and Paul could end up getting him in trouble down the road. Meanwhile, Paul and Georgia's wedding goes ahead, the two officially tie the knot as the series wonderfully shows how Ginny's attitude towards her mother has changed over the season and how the entire town has accepted Georgia as one of their own and has pitched in to help with this masterful event. But, the joy is cut short in the final moments when the police (and Gabriel) storm the wedding and arrest Georgia. Load? Murdering Cynthia's husband Tom, which Austin watched her do a few episodes before her while she was playing hide and seek with Zach (Connor Laidmann).
How will Georgia get out of this mess? How will Ginny react to learning that her mother killed someone else, confirmed when Austin heartbreakingly says that she didn't tell anyone what she saw as the police took Georgia away? Plus, the murders were pretty much the only aspect of her past that she didn't confess to Paul, so can he just overlook this and stay with her...assuming he gets out of jail? One thing is for sure: Ginny & Georgia will look very different if (and hopefully when!) the series returns for another season.
Ginny & Georgia seasons 1 and 2 are now streaming on Netflix.

By Salvatore Cernuzio
The new Apostolic Constitution presents a greater collegiality and a greater presence of the Pope, as Bishop of Rome, in all important pastoral, administrative and economic decisions related to the Diocese of Rome. The text provides for the creation of new offices for the supervision of finances and misconduct, while the term of office for staff in managerial positions is set at five years, extendable for a single additional five-year term. All these are novelties introduced by "In Ecclesiarum Communione", the new apostolic constitution published today that repeals the previous "Ecclesia in Urbe" of 1988 by John Paul II and reorganizes the functions of the Vicariate.
The Constitution enters into force on January 31, 2023 and begins with a lengthy introduction by Pope Francis offering a deep reflection on his diocese, Rome. Remember its importance from an ecclesial point of view, but also the challenges of the people who live there and the activities that can help the most fragile social groups. The second part then lists 45 articles, reflecting much of the previous Constitution, while also introducing several new articles. Beginning with the role of the Cardinal Vicar, defined for the first time as 'auxiliary', and the most prominent role of the Episcopal Council.
This reform follows in the footsteps of the Praedicate Evangelium and has a precise objective: to restore "an evangelizing and synodal impulse" to the Vicariate of Rome, so that, as Pope Francis writes, it may be "an exemplary place of communion, dialogue and closeness, welcome and transparency at the service of the renewal and pastoral growth of the diocese of Rome”.
The Pope reiterates in the document how "the Church loses its credibility when it is filled with what is not essential to its mission or, even worse, when its members, sometimes even those invested with ministerial authority, cause scandal with their behavior unfaithful". to the Gospel". In fact, Francis lists "some of the most serious and urgent commitments" that require pastoral action on the part of the Vicariate. These include monitoring financial management "so that it is prudent and responsible" and "carried out in a consistent with the objective that justifies the possession of goods by the Church".
When detailing the 45 articles of the Constitution, the Pope stops at the hierarchical figures of the Vicariate: cardinal vicar, vice-gerent and auxiliary bishops. All, he writes, "are appointed by me for an indefinite period of time and are removed from office by my decree." The Vicar - as Ecclesia in Urbe has already established - continues to exercise "the episcopal ministry of teaching, sanctification and pastoral government for the diocese of Rome with the ordinary power of Vicar" in the terms established by the Pope. The cardinal vicar, he continues, "will not undertake important initiatives or initiatives that go beyond ordinary administration without first informing me."
"In Ecclesiarum Communione" reinforces the role of the Episcopal Council, which becomes the "main agent of Synodality" and "the high-level place for discernment and pastoral and administrative decisions." The Pope will preside over it when it meets at least three times a month: "The agenda of each meeting must be sent to me as soon as possible," Francis stipulates. In the same way, "the minutes of the meetings of the Episcopal Council are drawn up by the auxiliary bishop in the capacity of secretary, appointed at the beginning of the Council, which must be sent to me, and must be kept in a special section of the diocesan general archive. "
"The Cardinal Vicar - continues the Pope - in his function of coordinating diocesan pastoral care, always acts in communion with the Episcopal Council", and if he differs from the concurring opinion, he should do so only after having evaluated the matter with the Pope. The Episcopal Council must also give its approval for the appointment of chaplains, church rectors and those responsible for pastoral services.
The regulations governing the Diocesan Council for Economic Affairs, a group that assists the Pope in the economic administration of the diocese, must also be approved by the Pope, with "transparency criteria in the management of funds." Along the same lines, an Independent Review Commission was established in the Vicariate of Rome as an internal control body with its own regulations approved by the Pope.
New and very detailed rules also apply to the procedures for choosing new parish priests, whose "spiritual, psychological, intellectual, pastoral characteristics and previous service experience, if any, must also be evaluated." "The Cardinal Vicar, having completed the process," the Pope states, "he will present to me the candidates for the office of parish priest for eventual nomination, and will name the vice-parish priests."
Finally, the general organizational chart provides for the creation of the Office for the Protection of Minors and Vulnerable Persons.
Additionally, on Friday, Pope Francis appointed Auxiliary Bishop Baldassare Reina as the new Vice-Gerent of the Diocese of Rome.
