“Nigerians should avoid bullying, hate, victimization and ill-feeling politics.

“They should focus on the problems that affect the nation and its citizens, especially the security challenges that afflict the country,” he added.

According to him, the election in 2023 should be for leaders who bring democracy dividends to the grassroots, alleviate their suffering and ensure security.

Idume also advised politicians to campaign on issues that affect the nation, not divert people’s attention to issues that would not add value to the country.

The Vicar urged Christians to intensify their prayers so that peace and stability prevail in the country.

“We need peace to continue in Nigeria, as we move into the election era we deserve a good country and leaders.

“All who are running for elective office should know and keep this in mind, that peace and progress are paramount in all endeavors,” he said.

Ifeanyi Okowa

Also speaking, Ifeanyi Okowa, Governor of Delta and PDP vice-presidential candidate, said it was time for all Nigerians to pray for the nation.

“We believe that everything will be fine, things will continue to happen, challenges will continue to come, but there is nothing that God cannot do,” he added.

According to him, the PPD will address the issue of insecurity, if elected to lead the country in 2023.

Adelabu Adedeji

The chairman of the 2022 harvest committee, Mr. Adelabu Adedeji, said that it was a season to offer charity and care for the vulnerable and underprivileged people in the society.
