15 dead in armed attacks in Nigeria-
Samuel Aruwan
– A total of 15 people have been killed and 11 others injured in recent armed attacks in northern Nigeria, a local official said on Friday.

The deadly attacks were launched by unidentified gunmen on four villages in Kaduna state, Samuel Aruwan, state commissioner for internal security and internal affairs, said in a statement.

The attacks occurred on Thursday when the gunmen invaded the villages to obtain money, but were met with resistance from the villagers, The Nation, a local newspaper reported on Friday.

“From there the thing began,” said a quoted source.
Armed attacks have been a major security threat in parts of Nigeria, resulting in deaths and kidnappings. ■
