Delta State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Bright Edafe, don break silence over the kontro between am and human rights activist Rinu Oduala, and him stand na say him own comment no carry any sexual meaning. Edafe tok on News Central on Monday say na Rinu sexualise wetin him talk, and him feel say the way she respond to am na insult.
According to the police spokesman, the matter start some days before when Rinu Oduala criticise the police over how dem take handle reports of alleged sexual assault for Ozoro, Delta State. Edafe reply her, but the reply later turn to serious argument between the two of dem.
Edafe talk say: “It is well. Nobody is talking about what Rinu is saying to me and it is very sad. Rinu’s statement is very insulting. My statement was not insulting.”
Him still yan say the backlash no look the side of wetin she tell am, and him remind pipo say police officers too na human beings. “My statement was only sexualised by Rinu and it is very sad because, like I said, police too are human beings. It was Rinu who sexualised my statement, I never sexualised that statement,” na so him tok.
