Okwuchi, wey be America’s Got Talent finalist, bin take to social media for December 2019, 14 years after di crash, to honour her friends. For di post wey BellaNaija report, she talk say her life almost end when she be 16, but she dey grateful to God say she still dey alive to remember di precious souls wey dem lose on December 10, 2005. She thank her followers for dia support as she dey live her dream, and she close di message with di words “RIP angels”.
Di singer no stop dia. For December 2023, she post another tribute, dis time on her X account, and she address di dead directly, calling dem angels.
“Dear 60 Angels of Loyola Jesuit College, 18 years have now passed since the Sosoliso plane crash that took your lives among other dear souls, while sparing mine and 1 other,” na wetin she write for di post wey mynigeria report.
Inside dat post, Okwuchi tok about how her life don move since di accident. She talk say she find herself on new platforms and stages with incredible pipo, say she finally graduate with her MBA, start a second career, and she still dey travel, sing, and share dia story with new audiences. She add say every experience, good or bad, dey get more meaning for her as each year pass.
She also promise to keep living life on behalf of those wey no survive. For her 2019 message, she talk say she go live her life for di pipo wey die inside di crash, and for 2023 she carry di same promise come front again.
“I live more in the moment and I take less for granted. Angels, thank you for watching over me all this time. Please keep watching! I will continue to live more experiences and make more memories. For us. Continue to rest in peace,” she write.
