Palace Push Hard, But Ndidi One Strike Give Beşiktaş Lead Before Break

Crystal Palace go into half-time 1-0 down against Turkish side Beşiktaş after Wilfried Ndidi score for the hosts with the home side first attempt on target in the half. The goal come for 45+2, when Ndidi run straight through the Crystal Palace defence and finish well.

Frustration na the main feeling for Crystal Palace, even though the overall performance strong. Dem defend well, pass neat and press excellent, but one slight switch off for back allow Beşiktaş take lead through a really good pass and finish. Wharton look much stronger, and im influence for final third dey noticeable. Yéremy Pino look like Crystal Palace best player by some distance, as everything good go through am. Mateta presence for the side also make positive impact.

Mateta get plenty chances. At 30, Wharton swing corner in and Mateta meet am on volley, but Nubel save the powerful strike well. At 34, Mateta come close again from the resulting corner. Im bully Beşiktaş defenders and probably suppose don score by then. At 16, Mateta narrowly miss wide of left post after great volleyed ball through from Wharton. At 21, Mitchell go close for Crystal Palace but im attempt no go on target. At 33, Khalaili hit side netting as Crystal Palace continue to push and need to capitalise.

Wilfried Ndidi collect the game first yellow at 15 after hacking down Yéremy Pino following excellent pressing. The freekick find Richards, but im header go just over the bar. At 7, Mateta goal disallowed for slight offside in the build-up, after great start from Crystal Palace but it’s ruled out.

For the second half, reaction na the focus now. Crystal Palace no fit drop their heads.
