Iran clean power capacity don pass 6,151 megawatts, and 400 megawatts of solar plants wey dem put inside industrial estates and zones don connect to national electricity grid. The figures come from latest energy assessment and statement by Tahmoorth Lahouti, wey be deputy minister for the Ministry of Industry, Mining and Trade and head of Iran Small Industries and Industrial Parks Organization.
Lahouti talk dis one during visit to Borujerd Special Economic Zone, where he talk with reporters. According to IRNA, he say completing infrastructure for industrial estates and Borujerd Special Economic Zone, speeding up semi-finished projects, and supporting active industrial units na main plan for the organisation.
He explain say during the visit, officials check infrastructure at Borujerd Industrial Estate and Special Economic Zone, active industrial units, and projects wey still dey construction. Dem review producers problems so decisions fit remove obstacles and make projects move faster.
On support for producers, Lahouti say financing industrial units and following up their problems with other executive bodies dey among measures to keep production and unit activity going. He also talk about need to manage energy imbalance inside industrial sector.
He add say about 8,000 hectares of land for industrial estates and zones don allocate for investment in renewable energy. Industrial units also dey encouraged to install solar panels on roofs of their halls and buildings.
Lahouti expect Ministry of Energy to pay attention to electricity restrictions in industrial estates and zones and create condition to reduce power cuts for units there, especially small and medium-sized enterprises. He also mention plan to set up smart management system for industrial estates.
According to am, the smart system aim to increase transparency in management, make decision-making faster, and allow timely action on problems. First part of plan concern general management of industrial estates, shared spaces, and infrastructure. Second part concern management of processes inside industrial units, including supply, production, and distribution chain. Implementation still dey early stage, and Abbasabad Industrial Estate don select as pilot.
For national picture, PressTV report say Iran installed clean power capacity don surpass 6,151 megawatts, equivalent to output of over 1.2 million small household solar systems. About 2,000 megawatts enter national grid over past several months, including 251 megawatts in September alone.
Within current Iranian calendar year, renewable plants don generate over 4.54 billion kilowatt-hours of clean electricity. Report talk say dis output power more than 1.2 million households, save 1.2 billion cubic meters of natural gas, and prevent 2.5 million tons of carbon emissions.
During summer peak, renewable plants produce record 930 million kilowatt-hours in September, enough to power over 3 million households for one month, according to the report.
PressTV also link the push for distributed renewable generation to repeated threats by US President Donald Trump to bomb Iran traditional power plants and critical infrastructure. The report say those threats make Tehran accelerate investment in distributed and renewable generation as part of plan to diversify energy sources, reduce dependence on gas-fired power, and make grid more resilient to external pressure.
