India don choose to bat first for di final against Pakistan, and from early on dem focus on turning strike over. Dem no dey rush boundary, dem just rotate strike and keep scoreboard moving. Di plan be say make dem not let dot balls pile up, and e show for how dem run singles sharp.
For one stage, di ball grip off good length on middle, and di batter turn am round corner for one. Another time, e be juicy full toss, but nobody attack am well. India still dey tap and run, dem prioritise strike rotation. Dem sneak one sharp single when ball dink back to bowler. One shot squeeze into onside off glove. Another time batter go deep in crease and punch down ground.
Pakistan bowler slow one delivery, flight am well. Di ball keep small low, grip, and just beat outside edge. E be clever bowling. Later, Pakistan captain take sharp catch at extra cover. Iyer try make room and steer ball over fielder, but e never get enough height. Farhan make di catch look simple, and Iyer battle of innings end. That catch be big moment.
India still push. One short ball pull away to deep midwicket. But India can’t find boundary at that time. One batter muscle ball to wide long-on, but e no time am well. Another run down to deep third. Then Minhas clean him up. Some wicket turn, ball rip back and kiss top of off. Kishan make lazy attempt to push through onside, e no move well, and e pay price after stodgy small innings.
Pakistan come better after drinks. Dem begin pull India back small. Run rate drop below ten for first time since second over. Pakistan bowl clever, square one batter up, e only fit defend back down ground. Saad bowl googly, Kishan try expansive slog sweep, but e no connect.
