Lagos State University, LASU, don announce say Nigerian Education Loan Fund, NELFUND, 2026/2027 student loan application don start for eligible students of di institution.
Di university make di announcement for post on top its official X account, urging interested students to take advantage of di Federal Government intervention and complete their applications before di December 31, 2026 deadline.
According to LASU, di NELFUND application portal opened on Wednesday, September 23, 2026, and e go remain accessible to eligible students until Thursday, December 31, 2026.
Di university direct students to apply through di official NELFUND application portal and make sure say their records correct before dem submit their applications.
LASU talk say applicants must be duly registered students of di university and get valid JAMB Registration Number, National Identification Number (NIN) and Bank Verification Number (BVN).
Students also need make sure say their Matriculation Number, Department and other institutional records correctly uploaded and updated on di university portal.
Di university further stress di need for applicants to make sure say their JAMB details correctly verified before dem proceed with di loan application.
For its notice, LASU talk say, ‘Students are strongly advised to verify and update their institutional and JAMB records before proceeding with their applications on the NELFund portal.’
Di university explain say di verification necessary ‘to prevent disqualification or delays arising from discrepancies or data mismatches.’
Students wey dey experience difficulties with di verification or updating of their records na im dem advise to seek assistance from Directorate of ICT or Special Interventions.
LASU urge all eligible students to complete their applications within di stipulated period.
