Minister of Defence, General Christopher Gwabin Musa (Rtd), don come out to reaffirm say Nigeria dey committed to restore and expand im role for international peacekeeping operations.
Musa make dis pledge on Tuesday during one operational visit to the Defence Section of Nigeria Permanent Mission to the United Nations in New York. The visit also happen after the opening session of the 81st United Nations General Assembly (UNGA), wey he also attend with Vice President Kashim Shettima, leader of the Nigerian delegation.
One statement signed by Leah Katung-Babatunde, Special Adviser (Media) to Minister of Defence, talk say Nigeria Defence Attaché to UN, Brigadier General EA Koleosho, brief Musa on section strategic activities and operational commitments.
The minister come commend Koleosho and him team for their professionalism, loyalty and dedication to the ideals of the United Nations and the Nigerian Armed Forces.
Musa talk say the Federal Government, under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, dey committed to reinvigorating Nigeria participation for global peacekeeping, and to expand im active role for international peace and security efforts.
The visit form part of the minister engagements at the 81st UNGA, wey bring world leaders and representatives together to deliberate on global peace, security and development.
