Di man voice dey aggressive as e talk to di child, and e shout, ‘Ori ẹ o ma pe,’ one popular Yoruba expression wey slang for ‘knocking sense into someone.’ Before e yank di crying child back to her feet, e still shout di same expression.
Di video don draw strong public condemnation across social media platforms. Many Nigerians dey call for immediate identification and arrest of di man. Responding to di viral clip on Wednesday, di National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons talk say child abuse no go ever be tolerated.
NAPTIP say, ‘We have noted the viral video and are working with relevant security agencies to identify, locate, and prosecute the perpetrator to the full extent of the law.’ Di agency don begin efforts to identify and arrest di man wey dem film as e dey brutally flog di toddler for di video wey go viral and spark widespread outrage.
