Vancouver Police Department (VPD) Chief Steve Rai don confirm say Constable Kalwinder Dosanjh arrested for Thursday for alleged criminal activity. The officer wey don serve for 26 years, he dey face nine different charges: four counts of fraud over $5,000, four counts of theft over $5,000, and one count of breach of trust.
According to Chief Rai, the arrest come after lengthy and thorough investigation wey VPD lead. “Following a lengthy and thorough investigation led by the VPD, we have arrested a 26-year member of the Department for alleged criminal activity,” he talk. “Effective immediately, I have suspended Mr. Dosanjh.” The VPD first receive information about Dosanjh for December 2023, and the allegations involve incidents wey happen between 2017 and 2025.
Because of the gravity of the matter, Rai say he recommend to Vancouver Police Board say dem suspend Dosanjh without pay.
