For yesterday, Bashir el-Rufai, son of former Kaduna State Governor, don launch serious attack for im elder brother, Bello, for social media platform X. Some of the posts don even delete, but before dem take am down, plenty people don see am.
Bashir accused Bello say im dey align with Kaduna State Governor, Senator Uba Sani, even after the governor’s relationship with dem papa don spoil. According to am, Bello only remember family loyalty when im realize say Sani no dey favor am again. So im dey talk say Bello na hypocrite.
Bello, wey represent Kaduna North Federal Constituency for House of Representatives, initially remain for All Progressives Congress (APC) after im papa resign from the party. But for May 7, 2026, im finally defect go African Democratic Congress (ADC), join im papa for opposition.
Bashir write for X say: “Stuck with Uba Sani until he realised he was being dumped, then suddenly remembered family loyalty and moved to ADC. Where has he been since? Purely serving his interest.” E also add say Bello don ask am before to tone down criticism of Sani, but now Bello dey pretend say im dey loyal to family.
The attack no stop for politics o. Bashir also make some very personal allegations against Bello, wey concern im private life and even drug use. Some of those posts don comot from X, but dem don already spread across social media.
As at time we dey write this report, neither Bello nor the El-Rufai family don make any public statement concerning these allegations. The whole matter dey happen while former governor Nasir el-Rufai dey custody since February 2026, over allegations of financial impropriety during im time as governor from 2015 to 2023.
Dis family feud don show say even when politics enter family, e fit cause serious wahala. Bashir no mince word for im attack, e say “At this stage in my life, I hate nonsense.” The matter still dey unfold, and people dey wait to see whether Bello go respond or whether family go try settle am.
