Schalke warn fans: No wear blue for Halle on matchday

FC Schalke 04 don release strong warning to dem fans wey dey plan to follow team go Halle for DFB-Pokal match. Di club talk say make dem no wear S04 jerseys or show any club materials outside stadium on Monday 24 August. Around 1,500 supporter dey expected for di sold-out game against Hallescher FC.

Dis one no be joke. Schalke make am clear say di advice na for safety. Di club say fans wey wan dey around Halle before match should remain as invisible as possible. Police don ready extra teams wey go wear yellow vests with “Konfliktmanagement” to dey manage any tension. Dem want make people dey approach dem early instead of waiting for trouble to start.

Di warning no come from nowhere. Hallescher FC don have history of fan trouble. Last September, during Regionalliga match against BSG Chemie Leipzig, fans run enter pitch and throw pyrotechnics. Then for July 2026, a friendly game against Energie Cottbus bin don stop because some people dey abuse Cottbus players with racist language. So everybody dey watch this cup tie with serious eyes.

Schalke themselves know how cup trips fit turn rough. Last season dem travel to Leipzig to face Lokomotive Leipzig for DFB-Pokal. Dem eventually win 1-0 after extra time, but di match no sweet. Christopher Antwi-Adjei bin dey racially abused, and di game even pause for some time. Dat experience one dey explain why dem dey talk strong now.

For field, Schalke want settle matter quick. As Bundesliga side, dem be favourties against di Regionalliga team. But dem know say cup get im own law. Vice-captain Timo Becker no mince word. “Das wird ganz ekelig,” im talk, meaning say e go rough well well.

Di club don suffer early cup exit plenty times before. Dem dey hope say dis season go be different. But before football matters, di main thing be say make fans behave and avoid any wahala for Halle.
