APC Warn Tinubu Appointees: Campaign or Comot Office – Yilwatda

Di ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, don give strong warning to all political appointees wey dey serve under President Bola Tinubu: make dem ready to campaign for di party or pack go.

APC national chairman, Professor Nentawe Yilwatda, tok dis during meeting with di Progressive Local Government Chairmen’s Forum for Abuja on Wednesday. Yilwatda bin say appointees wey dey hold political position but dey claim dem be technocrats no dey do well.

“If you no want to be politician, no take political appointment. We dey work to mobilise votes. Without votes, you no go dey office,” Yilwatda yarn. E compare am to person wey get tribal mark but dey deny im ethnic group.

Di forum, wey get 685 local government chairmen for APC platform, don promise to mobilise grassroots support for President Tinubu ahead of 2027 election. Di chairman of di forum, Mustafa Alheri, wey be Chairman of Chanchaga Local Government for Niger State, tok say dem be closest tier of government to di people.

Alheri also claim say many APC-controlled local governments dey enjoy full autonomy, and dem dey target at least 70% of votes for APC for 2027. Di forum get backing of 31 APC governors, and dem plan to organise mass endorsement rally for Tinubu for Abuja.

For Ondo State, APC women leader Mary Idele bin declare say women go deliver more than 60% of di votes for President Tinubu. Idele tok say “no vacancy” for Aso Rock, and women dey ready to vote for di president.

Yilwatda assure di LG chairmen say party go support dem, and e describe dem as “strongest pillar” for APC as dem dey move towards 2027 election. E urge dem to identify appointees wey dey fail to deliver politically for their wards.
